Lavender Simple Syrup

Lavender Simple Syrup

~     1 TBSP Lavender Petals

~     1 cup Distilled Water

~    1 cup Sugar or Honey

Mix equal parts water and sugar/ honey in a small saucepan over low/med heat. Stir until sweetener is dissolved.

For thicker syrup, reduce liquid by half over a light simmer.

Remove from heat, add lavender petals, and cover. Steep for 5 minutes.

Strain and pour into a vessel for storage.

Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Optional: Change up the herbs for different flavors. Rose buds, hibiscus, and chamomile are great alternatives.
