Root Beer Syrup Recipe

Infusing simple syrup with a root beer tea bag is a great way to capture that nostalgic root beer flavor and use it in a variety of drinks. Here’s a simple recipe for root beer tea-infused syrup:

Root Beer Tea-Infused Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar

1 root beer tea bag

Instructions:

1. Combine water and sugar:

In a small saucepan, add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has fully dissolved.

2. Infuse with tea:

Once the sugar has dissolved, add the root beer tea bag, and remove from heat. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want the root beer flavor to be. Stir occasionally.

3. Remove the tea bag:

After the tea has steeped to your liking, remove the tea bag.

4. Cool the syrup:

Let the syrup cool to room temperature. It will thicken slightly as it cools.

5. Store:

Transfer the cooled syrup into a clean bottle or jar. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.

How to Use:

You can add this root beer-infused simple syrup to sparkling water, iced teas, or cocktails to create a root beer-inspired drink. It also works well as a sweetener in mocktails or to drizzle over desserts!

Enjoy your homemade root beer syrup!
